While doing mu usual endless search for new design blogs to inspire me, I found one that especially caught my interest. After looking through it for what seemed like all afternoon (lots of stuff-a great thing when there is tons of cute stuff) I decided it was in my top 5 favorite reads. Wall Storage Caddy

DIY Furniture

Okay, I tend to obsess over DIY projects. I have hundreds of projects that I see, whether online, in a magazine, anywhere really, written down all over my apartment. What I love though, is when I think of some neat idea, and then I happen to come across something like it, but way better. I know, it sounds strange, but I am a visual person, so I get a lot of inspiration from pictures, and articles.

Anyway...my latest plans (or ideas that go no where) have been about creating my own furniture. Now, I don't mean by throwing some cushions on the ground and calling it a couch, such as the horrible current situation in my living room. The problem is, my boyfriend and I have had 3 different sets of couches, and ended up selling them all because I found something wrong with them. So- I was telling Charlie (the boyfriend) that I thought it would be so simple to build our own daybed/sofa type thing with a simple peice of plywood, attaching some cool, modern legs to the bottom, and using something for the top cushion. I was thinking a twin mattress (which we happen to have in storage) and making a cover for it, along with some matching pillows. Intro to Modern Design Life

For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with design, and everything having to do with it. I have become completely enthralled with many Design Blogs, and decided that instead of bookmarking every single site or item or project I come across, I will just create my own blog so that I can become more involved in the "design world" so to speak.

To be quite honest, I have little to no knowledge about creating blogs, so I hope you will see past the amateurness-(not a word?)-and also please share with me any advice you may have, I will TRULY appreciate it!

I'm sure that this blog will be sort of a mixed bag of modern design elements, along with modern art, craft projects, and anything else having to do with design. I really do hope I can create a page that many other design enthusiasts will enjoy, as I enjoy hundreds of other design blogs.
